What’s Included in the Ground-Sleeve Installation Service
Our professional installation service is designed to handle the excavation and concrete foundation work required to properly install your Phoenix Flagpole’s ground sleeve.
The starting price includes:

The Phoenix ground sleeve is typically installed approximately 28–34 inches into the ground. Actual excavation depth and dimensions may vary based on the Phoenix model, soil conditions, frost conditions, site access, and installation requirements.
The Phoenix Flagpole Is Installed After the Concrete Cures
The standard installation service includes preparing and setting the ground sleeve in concrete. It does not normally include installing the Phoenix Flagpole during the same visit.
Concrete typically requires approximately 48 hours to cure before the pole should be installed. Weather, temperature, moisture, and concrete conditions may require additional curing time.
The Phoenix Flagpole is designed for straightforward customer installation after the foundation has cured. Even the tallest Phoenix model weighs less than 25 pounds. Customers should always follow the supplied installation instructions and use appropriate assistance when installing the pole.
Optional Add-On
Optional Return Visit to Install the Pole: Additional $295
If you prefer not to install the Phoenix Flagpole yourself after the concrete has cured, our team may return to install the pole into the cured sleeve.
The optional return visit is an additional $295 and must be scheduled separately. The return visit includes installation of the Phoenix pole and standard included flag hardware only if specifically confirmed in the written quote. It does not include unapproved additional excavation, utility relocation, difficult site remediation, removal work, or installation of unrelated accessories unless specifically included in writing.

Installation pricing is based on the actual conditions at the property. The following pricing structure is intended to provide a clear starting point while accounting for the additional labor and equipment that may be required at more difficult sites.
Standard Installation

Assumes normal soil, reasonable access, and a clear installation area.
Moderate Site Conditions

May apply to moderate roots, rocks, slope, limited access, or additional labor.
Extensive Site Conditions
~$1,195
May apply to extensive roots, dense rock, difficult terrain, or substantially extended labor.
Major Excavation
Custom Quote
May apply to ledge, large boulders, buried debris, concrete, asphalt, masonry, major excavation, specialized equipment, or conditions requiring a different installation method.
These prices are planning ranges only. A firm price will be provided after reviewing the property address, photographs, access conditions, proposed installation location, and any known underground systems.
If unexpected conditions are discovered after digging begins, our installation team will pause the work and discuss the available options with the customer. No additional work will be performed without customer approval.

How the Installation Process Works
Submit Your Project Details
The customer submits the property address, Phoenix pole height, proposed installation location, photos, and site information.
Site Review
Our team reviews the location, access route, visible site conditions, and known underground systems.
Quote and Approval
We provide the appropriate installation price and confirm the scope of work in writing before scheduling.
Utility Locate and Site Confirmation
The required UDig NY/811 location process is coordinated before excavation. The installation location must be confirmed and clear for digging.
Ground-Sleeve Installation
Our team excavates the area, installs and levels the patented Securi-Lok™ sleeve, sets it in concrete, backfills the area, and completes basic cleanup.
Concrete Curing and Pole Installation
After approximately 48 hours of curing, or longer if conditions require, the customer may install the Phoenix Flagpole. An optional $295 return visit may be scheduled if the customer wants our team to install the pole.
Important Underground Utility Requirements
Because this service involves excavation approximately 28–34 inches into the ground, the proposed installation area must be clear of buried utilities and other underground obstructions.
For Capital Region installations, the required UDig NY/811 location request will be coordinated in accordance with applicable requirements before digging begins. UDig NY/811 helps identify and mark participating utility facilities. It does not identify every private underground line located on a customer’s property.
The customer must disclose and identify known private underground systems, including:
- • Irrigation lines
- • Invisible fencing
- • Septic lines
- • Drainage systems
- • Private water lines
- • Private gas lines
- • Electric lines to garages, sheds, gates, pools, barns, or other outbuildings
- • Low-voltage lighting
- • Communication wiring
- • Buried conduit
- • Other privately installed utility systems
The customer is responsible for identifying known private underground systems that may not be marked through UDig NY/811.
Customer Responsibilities Before Installation
The customer must:
- ✓ Provide the complete and accurate installation address
- ✓ Approve the exact installation location
- ✓ Provide clear photos of the proposed installation area
- ✓ Provide photos of the driveway, access route, slope, trees, structures, and visible obstacles
- ✓ Disclose known private underground utilities and systems
- ✓ Keep utility markings visible and undisturbed
- ✓ Identify known easements, property restrictions, setbacks, HOA rules, and permit requirements
- ✓ Confirm that the person requesting service has authority to approve the work
- ✓ Ensure safe access to the property and installation area
- ✓ Remove personal property, landscaping items, decorations, vehicles, or other obstacles from the work area
- ✓ Approve any additional work before it begins
If the installation area is not ready, is inaccessible, contains an undisclosed utility, or cannot be safely excavated, the installation may need to be paused, rescheduled, relocated, or declined. Additional charges may apply for a return visit or additional work.
